Tantalum Bar and Rod Description
SSC specializes in supplying tantalum bar and rod with a variety of dimensions and shapes including round, rectangular and square. Custom configurations are also available.
Tantalum bar and rod are made of tantalum ingots. They are worked cold from ingot to final diameter. Forging, rolling, swaging, and drawing are used singularly or in combination to reach the desired size.
Tantalum bars and rods can be used in the chemical industry and oil industry due to its corrosion resistance. Our bar and rod can also be produced from custom alloys for commercial and research applications and for new proprietary technologies. Other available shapes include disc or plate form, as well as custom machined shapes and through other processes such as nanoparticles and in the form of solutions and organometallics. We also produce tantalum as pellets, powder, pieces, granules, ingot, wire, and in compound forms, such as oxide. Other shapes are available by request.
Tailor-made tantalum alloy bar and rod, such as tantalum tungsten alloy, tantalum niobium alloy are also available at SSC.
